 Definition

A learner support concept defining services and structured responses used to address barriers to learning and participation. It governs identification of needs, targeted supports, progress checks, and documentation of accommodations or services. It does not replace core instruction and requires monitoring and timely adjustment when learners do not respond as expected. It materially affects equity and access by reducing avoidable barriers and supporting appropriate challenge and assistance.
